Our Client’s Challenge:
A Singaporean property e-listings marketplace company is a provider of real-estate e-listings and customer data for the Southeast Asian market. The technology platform is a core offering to its customers, which the company was looking to scale-up and transform.
To enable the development of this core technology platform, our client was looking to build their technology team of solution architects, software engineers, data engineers and data scientists based in India.
How PSS-Blue Helion Helped:
Blue Helion, our technology advisory partner, advised the client on its strategy to build a global offshore technology center in India. This Indian technology office would support the core engineering and data analytics teams of the client based in Singapore.
Blue Helion helped the company set up its Indian entity and advised it on legal, regulatory and compliance requirements of the process. Our team also facilitated the setup of the client’s new GCC office space in Bengaluru that was fully equipped with the technology and support systems to house a large offshore technology team. Furthermore, they appointed a project manager who would oversee the creation of the new entity as it related to hiring and building working relationships with the onshore team in Singapore.
PSS was then mandated to hire the company’s initial engineering team including the Software Engineering Director and Engineering Leads along with senior Solution Architects and Data Scientists across the product, infrastructure, data science and digital functional domains. With a core team of two recruitment delivery leaders and 4 technology recruitment consultants working in two 8-hour shifts, the PSS team managed the hiring and onboarding of a team of 50 technologists within a 120-day span.
Impact Created Through Our Engagement:
The offshore technology team and the enabling infrastructure built up around it allowed our client to scale-up and fast-track the development of its core technology platform within less than 6 months. The new team contributed to the development of new features and digital customer offerings that enabled the company to launch new revenue-generating channels on the platform. This prepared the company on its path toward a future initial public listing.
